A day in Busy Bees

As the children gain more confidence in walking they are encouraged to join the children in the friendly Busy Bees room at around eighteen months. As the name suggests, it is a busy room and lots of fun activities are provided for the children to ensure they are active and have a fun-filled day!

This room is quite cosy enabling a small group of children to interact with the other children through play both at tables and floor level. This includes duplo, puzzles, sticklebricks, brio, cars and lots more. Sand, water and playdough also form an important part of their play.

Supervised art and craft activities are provided for the children. These are varied enabling the children to experience crafts such as sticking, painting and chalking.

The children usually sleep between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on beds in the main centre with the older children. Other sleep times can be accommodated if necessary.

One question often asked is about potty training. We work together with you and carry out the same practices as you do at home, to ensure continuity is maintained. Please feel free to discuss with the members of staff if you wish your child to start potty training.
