Meal Times

Children have their meals in their rooms where a prayer is said before eating. The children are encouraged to eat together in a relaxed social atmosphere. Our menu works on a four-week rota ensuring a variety of meals that are balanced and nutritious. All our food is prepared from the finest fresh produce prepared by our highly qualified in-house chef. We can cater for every child's individual needs from special diets to vegetarian and our babies meals can be blended or finely chopped.


BREAKFAST from 8.30 am

  • Fresh fruit and sultanas
  • Cereal
  • Toast and jam / Crumpets / Pancakes
  • With a drink of milk / squash / fruit juice.

DINNER 12.00 pm

Our meals are cooked on site by our highly trained chef. The menu varies daily from lasagne, to roast lamb or chicken and ham pie. Each meal has vegetables and potato or pasta accompaniment. Desserts are also varied from fresh fruit, carrot cake or bananas and custard.

TEA 4.00 pm

To ensure the utmost care is taken in the preparation of food, tea is prepared by staff who hold a current Food Hygiene Certificate. Tea varies and includes:

  • Jacket potatoes; Noodles with prawn crackers
  • Crackers, cheese and pineapple; sandwiches
  • Cakes, jelly, homemade biscuits

JUICE AND SNACK TIME

A juice and snack time is organized into our day both morning and afternoon. This time enables the children to try healthy snacks and new tastes. Juice/water is always available throughout the day.
